Blood peach-Nectavigne®

LEADING FRENCH PRODUCER OF BLOOD PEACHES AND NECTAVIGNE®

For a number of years, SICOLY has been developing a traditional range of vineyard peaches, a characteristic and renowned fruit of the Côteaux du Lyonnais, their region of origin.

A little history… Originally, the name “blood peach” (pêche de vigne in French) was coined because vine growers would plant a peach stone instead of a vine stock at the start of a row. Being more susceptible to certain diseases and insects, the peach tree then acted as an ‘early warning system’ in the event of parasite attack.

For almost 20 years, SICOLY has been working towards the creation of a unique and new range of blood nectarines, in collaboration with a plant breeder.

These fruits are marketed under the registered trademark Nectavigne®.
